I’ve been running and attending my indoor cycling classes pretty regularly now. My mile times have dropped by minutes, and indoor cycling provides a perfect cross train for me because my knees have started to ache from the constant pounding from running. I’m down from 180 pounds to 148 pounds! Whooohooo, Cue the applause! So, I thought this would be the perfect time to challenge myself, yet again. So I says to myself, “Self, why don’t you try planking for one minute every day for six months.” I grabbed my phone and got into position and voila, The Daily Plank was born! While I felt strong, my entire body felt shaky and about to give out with 24 seconds to go. Alas, I did complete it. My day one Daily Plank is complete. I set alarms on my phone for every day to remind me to plank. I also started a running tally on the whiteboard in my kitchen. Let’s see how this goes! Cheers!
