I've given birth to two healthy babies, and I wanted to be healthy for them and me, too. So, I started running, very slowly, for 30 minutes a day. The pace didn't matter, just as long as I didn't stop. Running isn't new to me. I started running track at the age of 9-years-old, it's been an important part of my life for a very, very long time. Just a few weeks in and my pace started getting faster and faster.
With a healthy diet and consistency, I have dropped 30 pounds in eight months. I feel strong and most important, healthy. I won't stop. A fire has been reignited within me. My conviction is palpable, fueled by my reminders of why I started running again. Whatever obstacle you are facing, try to remember why you started and why you won't stop. Get 'em, Lion.
